As indicated in Section 24.4, experiments are often performed where some results are obtained early in time and further results later in time. For example, in the previously de- scribed experiment that measures the demand for a product during the first two months, the demand for the product during the first month is observed at the end of the first month. This information can be utilized in making probability statements about the demand dur- ing the second month.
